International research focus on how quality can be improved through the role of technologies

Global Community Resourcing hosted Professor Greg Alexander, whose research can help prepare Australia for the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety.

Professor Greg Alexander specializes in National Health Policy along with IT effects on quality of care in nursing homes and long term care. Health policy relating to nursing practice is also an interest of his.

His key note address focused on ‘New and Emerging Technologies, Revolutionizing Care and Support.’ Closely aligning with the work of Global Community Resourcing, this topical discussion was backed up by his innovative approach and leading edge research.

The roadshow’s primary aim was to educate and inform aged care, community and disability providers, board directors, top organisations and advanced technology providers.

Chair of the CCSATC, Anne Livingstone remarked on the National Roadshow stating, “Professor Greg Alexander’s ground breaking research gives a much-needed insight into how Innovation and Technology can provide a solution to many arising issues”.

Running from 11 to 15 March 2019, events were held across Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Sydney. The tour came to a close with meetings held in unity with key decision makers in Canberra.
